Got my first anonymous letter today, opened by Town Hall staff! I will not quote it, because it unfortunately has some very unpleasant stuff about my husband in it, poor guy, stuck with a political wife. He did say he hoped it wouldn't deter me from my efforts, and it won't. It was definitely political, referenced my political activities, and my letters to the newspapers. But the rest of it was sexual. I tell you, these right wingers are a sick bunch.

Not only are they sick, they are cowardly. I would take someone's criticism more seriously only if they have the courage to say it (or write it) to my face. Anymous letters say more about the writer than the recipient.
